April is Autism Awareness Month and April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day.
This year, local parent Jackie Morgan MacDougall wanted to commemorate the occasion by having a fun, family awareness day at the Valencia Town Center mall. She enlisted the help of friend and City of Santa Clarita Mayor Laurie Ender, who enlisted the help of Raj Choudry and Stacie House at the Valencia Town Center.
The idea — to light up the outside area of the mall blue and have some family friendly entertainment and announcements. We also displayed artwork that will go in the Time to Shine art exhibit inside the mall.
